I have just got home to discover my husband has taken delivery of my eglu (a day earlier than supposed to arrive). He has put it together as a nice surprise for me to discover its a bloomin rablu!!! Why on earth would they deliver all my chicken accessories with it?

I am fuming, I have been waiting a month for it and I'm totally disappointed. Too late to call them now aswell so will have to wait till tomorrow - grrrr!!!!!

Hope you get it sorted out tomorrow, there seems to be lots of reports of things being delivered early which is no good to most people. :? Will it just be a case of them supplying you some roosting bars to convert it? I'm not very familiar with the differences.

No, as the bases are different as they don't have a slide out tray...

Hi,

Still no eglu :(

I had a note pushed through the door saying parcel wasn't left as they needed a signature. However I had already told OMLET i wouldn't be in and they said they didn't need a signature. So at the moment I still have a rablu. Night Frieght have asked me to leave a note stuck to my door tomorrow telling them where to leave the parcel and they will leave it without a signature being needed.

I'll update with Part 3 tomorrow night when hopefully I should have an eglu...

I know they don't seem very good do they. They told me they didn't have any paperwork to collect the rablu back off me and told me I would have to contact OMLET to sort it out.

About 30 minutes after that I had a phonecall from them saying it was alright and that they had found the paperwork!

Well Eglu has arrived!

It is however minus the grub feeder. Everything else is there though. Will call OMLET later and see what's happening - must say I'm not that impressed with them so far, hopefully it'll all change when I get my chickens. :)

I am quite surprised by how big the eglu seems in comparison to the run, my run is about 7/8 ft square and so the actually eglu takes up about a quarter of the floor space so I will definately be putting it on a raised platform to give the chickens more floor space.

I'm going to Jubilee Farm this weekend to have a look and will also go to KCS feeds for my bedding.

I'm going to a hen party on the 17th at Karen Pimlott's so if I haven't got any by then I will definately get some from her.

Just rang OMLET and they have said they didn't have any green grubs in stock at the time my eglu was sent but they will be sending one out and it should arrive within a week.

Our purple cube was delivered with a red grub as they had run out of purple ones but the Omlet man (very kind and helpful, brilliant service) took it back as we did not need it straight away as we aren't using the cube yet. Omlet will send me a purple grub when they come in stock.

Is there are shortage of grubs? :?:?:lol:

I must admit when I got my eglu 3 years ago the service was outstanding, but reading the horror stories here im a little aprehensive about what is actually going to turn up on september 5 (should be a purple cube but who knows). It does sound like omlet are having a few issues scaling up the business as demand is increasing for their products.

I dont really know any other company that I would except a 2 month lead time on a product, i'd go elsewhere but I want a cube so much I'll have to wait.

I know and here I am still waiting for my grub!

Will have to buy a seperate feeder for now. I'm not really bothered about this, I am just annoyed they didn't tell me it was out of stock when I first ordered it!

Husband has said that he doesn't reckon much to OMLET, thinks the product is good but the service isn't :(

Well it's basically the fact the no other company does coops like them, otherwise I'm sure trade would have decreased.
