chooklady
Here they are. This is Bluebelle, commonly known as Blossom This is the Gingernut Ranger (no name yet) and the Amber Star could be Honey or Chablis From the back Sussex Star = Willow, Miss Pepperpot = Bramble and Speckledy = Speckle and the Bluebelle on the right. This is my dog looking very intrigued, he is so good he takes everything in his stride. The Pepperpot is the boss, The Speckledy is not far from laying as she is the oldest, This one is Abby's so she will possibly get the first egg. Omletina Kyckling
What lovely chickens and what a great set up!! I like the idea of a chicken called Chablis, very good!!
cluckbok
What lovely chooks. I like the name "Honey". The bluebelle is especially pretty. I bet the ginger ranger once she starts laying will be the most reliable, ours is out of all of ours. I'm impressed the way the dog is just looking from a distance! chooklady
The chooks have settled down for the night with a bit of encouragement! We put a light in the cube and as the outside light started to fade the Bluebelle was the first up the ladder, she is a bit older than the others and seemed to know what to do. We helped 2 on their way the next 2 went on their own and then the Sussex star was the last, we had to put her in, she was really interested but hadn't got a clue! They all have names now apart from the Amber Star, she is Chris' but he can't decide on a name. Bramble suits the Pepperpot, she is a bit prickly! My other daugther Amy has called the Gingernut, Chilli s she is also a bit hot and fiesty. The Amber and the Sussex are the most reserved, the Bluebelle is the most cheeky and the Speckledy is somewhere in between. At the moment I think the Pepperpot will be top of the pecking order, I did manage to get Abby out of the run tonight, I thought she might take a sleeping bag down there.
