Laura007 Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 i think someone has hacked into my email account and sent some sort of spam messaging from it!!! i am so annoyed. i have changed the password, but i dont even know how they could have accessed it in the first place it makes my account look like im some sort of weirdo who has nothing better to do!! i am so irritated as the computer is playing up aswell. Worms (not virus, but similar) are hellish to get rid of and you may need to format your pc (start from fresh) You better warn people in your address book (on your email) to do a virus scan too. OH (who knows about these things) says it is incredibly easy for someone who knows or guesses your e-mail address to put it in the "From" section of a spam email. They don't even need to hack into your e-mail account to do this. I did warn all the people in my address book to be on guard. Last week, I also had someone trying to access funds from my PayPal account. Fortunately PayPal were suspicious, have blocked the payment and are investigating it for me.
