For once those at the Met Office were right - we've had weather warnings this morning for the south coast of unseasonably strong winds.............and they weren't wrong

 

Just off to put away everything that moves as the garden brollies are about to take off and my poor banana plants are once again having their new leaves shredded

 

My poor Girls - their feathers are being buffeted in all directions :shock: They've taken up residence in the back corner where it's more sheltered

It is pretty blustery here, so I can only imagine what it is like on the coast.

 

It is also tipping down with rain again here despite the Met.Office saying it would be sunny until 1pm

there is nothing between us and the sea... it's awful!!!!

 

I have never heard rain like last night.... our rooms are all in the eaves and it was like a 747 was landing on the roof!!!!

 

Our poor chooks.... has anyone's cubes ever blown over.... we have corrugated plastic across the top and one side????? Bit worried.

 

Where is the sunshine that dried up all the rain?????? instead the wind seems to be blowing more of it here!!!!!!! Oh to be somewhere gorgeous on holiday!!!

It's very windy here too and the rain's about 10 mins away (I can see it coming in over the car park).

 

Where I live is described in the tourist literature as the "Essex Sunshine Coast" - hmm,

definitely getting worse

 

the rain cover has just been ripped off the girls run and something has crashed onto the conservatory roof sending the cats flying across the room in a very startled manner

 

Off to investigate and make temporary repairs

 

The Girls are very clucky today - they definitely don't like the weather either

It's vile here too Pamster; there's a leaking gutter outside my office window, and the sound of the water crashing out of it is making me want to spend a penny!

After vile weather for a week or more, we had a still, sunny morning . Bit cloudy now but I've put 2 loads of washing on the line for the first time in weeks!

Weather's none to good here either. It's really windy and we keep having random heavy rain showers. The chooks are none too happy, I have just fed them a broccoli stalk to brighten their day.......when they were in the garden they hid in the bushes! No eggs either ( and I need one more egg to make a carrot cake!)

V windy here too! Garden parasol just blown over and snapped chilli and sweet pepper plants, made me almost jump out of my skin went to sort out damage and have noticed the runner beans have been blown over too!

 

My chooks are honking like geese - they've never made that sound before, i think i will go and chuck them some raisins to forage for to cheer them up.
