Cooks
She's not to replace poppy, but our family felt lost without a 'little' dog here. She's called Phoebe (pheebs for short) and shes a tiny yorkie puppy.. I will add photos tomorrow. I think she will ease the loss I've felt in my heart. We only got her this evening after much deliberating whether the time was right, but the whole family said yes so she's one of the faimly now. Cooks
yes I know it might seem quick and although I am still hurting over Poppy the others in the family are faring better and wanted to get another dog, she is beautifull so how could I resist? My husband bought me Poppy 14 years ago after we lost our first child, so it's only fitting I get another dog after the loss of her... well it makes sense to me, some of you might not agree but hey this feels right. Pictures tomorrow I promise, you will love her shes a darling!

Cooks
thank you, she' a darling that will be treasured forever. Her breeder was lovely as well, and had three girls to choose from, hubby chose her really, well he said "I like this one!" and she was the smallest not that there was much in it to be honest. Having three to choose from just confused things though to be honest I have got her a kitten collar as all the others are too small, it's got a little bell on it which is funny when she walks. I could have had red or purle so as Poppy wore red, purple it was. I have to go get her a bed as she has one, but she's so tiny it swamps her, so a visit to get a smaller one until she grows is in order. I have to also find her a really soft latex very small squeaky toy, I know they are available, they just dont stock them in my local store small enough. I also have to find a reasonale stockist for frontline and wormers as she will need doing in a couple of weeks again. She squeaked a bit last night but settled through the night so here's hoping she feels settled, but it's early days. edited to add: I will add more photos as and when I can, but she wont keep her head still! they are all blurred, I have a great blurred shot of her yawning! Have you tried * this site * ? That's where I got my Flubenvet from for a pretty good price (no postage!)
victoriabunny
She is absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations. Don't feel at all guilty about getting another dog so soon - it doesn't take away any of the love you felt for Poppy. I hope she brings you many years of happiness. When my dogs were that small, they slept in a hooded cat basket!
Gamebird
What a sweet little puppy It doesn't matter how soon or late you get another puppy after losing a loved one because all dogs are individuals and will always be remembered for their own character. You have to do what's right for your family. She has a gorgeous face and is going to bring you lots of joy over the years.

I believe Poppy led you to her and the timing was perfect. I'm sure Poppy wants you to have another little one around who will share the love and comfort she came to relize while living with your family. Congratulations. More pictures as she grows please. BeckyBoo
Wow, that was quickMrs B What I meant genuinely was GOOD FOR YOU! I've never ended up waiting when I've lost a treasured animal, I love having animals around, couldn't be without them and each one is so individual, none of them are ever replacements. Phoebe is just so cute! So glad you have a new member of the family. Mrs B
Cooks
thanks all, I am glad you like her, she's a little terror already and had chewed on Jessies tail, much to jessies annoyance, but the big baby (jessie) yelped and ran away.. who's going to be top dog?? the smallest me thinks! Yes angel, your probably right Poppy would love me to have someone to cuddle up to, she loved her mummy cuddles Thanks ANH funny I found that site earlier from my favourites where I'd saved it from someone saying on here thats a good place to buy flubenvet edited to add: she now has a squeaky chicken (tiny one) which she loves! and a new s"Ooops, word censored!"y brown swede bed with lambs wool type covering inside, I would be comfy in that myself! for the price I should be! Cooks
frontline and wormer ordered, I ordered more for Jessie whilst I was there, they are more reasonable than the vets charge. I want to put Phoebe on Drontal eventually the same as Jessie but she's been wormed regularly on panacur, so am sticking with that for the time being, too much change isn't good for a little thing. I dont use frontline normally, they get a spray with stuff cold from the vets and we've never had probs, but Phoebe's too young for it, so I've had to buy two lots of frontline as they are different sizes.. how often do you all treat yours if you use this? I ordered a 3 pack each for them, as with no postage I can always order more when needed. I am just wondering now how long the 3 pack will last. Cooks
slight crisis as the children have said that Phoebe doesn't roll off the tongue easily, so they want a different name before it's too late... please help!!!! we have so far suzi Abi lily pepsi I believe they find the eee sound at the end easier
Cooks
she has been renamed Suzi, as the kids like this better, and I have to say she looks like a suzi more...
Seagazer
Just caught up with this - Suzi is absolutely gorgeous, you must be so happy with her. Everybody does things at different paces, a friend only managed a couple of days after her dog died. It helped her to get through her grief. Have a fantastic time, puppyhood goes way too quickly. Cooks
thanks, she's a little terror though, my cocker spaniel no longer want to be her mum at the moment hubby has just adapted my utlity room so she has her own private suite under the worktop/breakfast bar type area. She's all penned in and safe at times we need her to be, rather than using the crate, she caught her mouth on the bar earlier and frightenend me to death, so I am not using that anymore. Lucky I have the space for her to have a choice of abodes really. She's run the boys around and around today and she's not even 8 weeks old yet! I almost had to visit the bathroom when I fed her the tripe the breeder told me to give her though... Suzi loves it, but my nose and tummy didn't :vom: I have bought a better premium puppy food for her than the one the breeder has her on but I cant change her too early as it will unsettle her tum. I plan to put her on pro plan as the kibble bits are tiny enough for her little mouth. Totally amazing but we have caught her about to wee twice and poo onceand picked her up took her outside and shes wee'd/poo'd out there... other times not so lucky, but hey 3 times is not to be sniffed at, and she knows where the newspaper is this evening. Cooks
I know, she's a proper darling. with ears a little too big for her body in that picture.. she's using the outside for wee's and poo's with us reminding her and taking her out and saying 'grasses' and praising her when she goes. she's not even 8 weeks yet!!!! no wee's/poo's in house at all today... yet I am so glad we got her, Poppy would have loved her.
