SamSandwich
The Strongbow ad...The one where the men in the pub get 'ultimate first pint refreshment' as they exhale for a extensively long time after they sip their beer. You'd think someone would take the oppurtunity to nab their wallets or something of the sort You have given me a idea..... Watch this space! Edit: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=46rwqzCHn8o like it? Fantastic!
MedusA
Fred, that's brilliant! My daughter absolutely hates the Lloyd TSB ones, though I quite like it. I remember hearing something on Radio 4 recently and the interviewer was talking to the artiste who recorded the original song. She was amazed at how it's taken off as a result of the ads. Omletina Kyckling
I'm reigniting this thread as an advert has just annoyed me. It was for Dairy Milk and was the advert with the gorilla playing the drums, which had Phil Collin's "In the Air Tonight" as the music. They've done exactly the same advert again, but with Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" as the music. Do they think we're stupid and will think it's a new ad? The tempo of BT's song is obviously a bit slower as they've slowed down the movements of the gorilla to match the song. I didn't like the advert the first time around and like it even less now they've just put different music to it!! Grrr.....I've finished ranting now.... Egluntyne
Ditto. Didn't like it first time round and it wasn't improved by the change of song. The one with the airport trucks was slightly better with the Queen music. Tonights was different, but instantly forgettable.
Omletina Kyckling
........what I can't understand is just how those adverts sell chocolate? What is the relevance? I know the first half dozen times I saw the gorilla one, it got to the end and I didn't know what it was for as it wasn't memorable as chocolate! How is that a good ad? The one for Galaxy where she's lolling about eating chocolate on the sofa is more likely to make me pop to the village shop to buy a bar!!!
