Kaiser Chiefs - Result!!

Recommended Posts

I saw the Kaiser Cheifs at V - they were excellent!

Next stop for me - Paul Weller, at Cliffs Pavillion - a year ago I had to drive all the way to Brighton to see the rest of The Jam. Havn't seen Weller live since he was with the Style Council.

That will be a great concert 8) I was looking at the groups coming around here over the next few months and really fancy seeing Spear of Destiny 8)

Karen x

Off to see Spear of Destiny this coming Tuesday at B'ham Academy, seen them a few times before. Also seen Kirk Brandon in a band called "Dead Men Walking" with Mike Peters from the Alarm, Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols, Slim Jim from the Stray Cats and Captain Sensible.

I'm looking forward to the Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine gig also at the B'ham Academy with EMF and the Wonderstuff as support.

Not really looking forward to "Vampire Weekend" with Mrs CCR.

I am seeing Kaiser Chiefs at Reading Rivermead on October 16th :P:P:P

My eldest girl is a huge, huge fan, & is a regular on their forum,so we got pre-sale tickets quite a few weeks ago.

I took her to Earls Court to see them last November & they were great. It will be fab to see them at an intimate vanue & we still can't quite believe they are doing a gig at such a small place!

I am taking her,her boyfriend & my sister.....my sister & I have been told we are to stand at the back while Devon & Luke are getting to the gig at 4pm to get barrier side places, hopefully

Then its The Pigepn Detectives in November, & Devon is seeing Michael Mcintyre, Russell Howard & Dylan Moran in October too.

Cleo (my youngest) & I are also seeing 4 Poofs & A Piano in October .......busy month!

My son came home from school about two years ago saying that his music teacher was going to be playing a 'gig' with a band called The Caister Chefs. I asked him if he meant the Kaiser Chiefs and he said that it could be. I said that he must be mistaken but he was adamant that his teacher was playing with The Caister Chefs in the little theatre at Southwold (Suffolk). I explained that sometimes teachers have little jokes with children and that that was what had probably happened in this case. He was still adamant that Mr. Scott was playing with the Caister Chefs so we left it there.

A few days later I had to apologise profusely when the local paper announced that the Kaiser Chiefs had launched their new single at the little theatre in Southwold and local musician, Mr. Victor Scott wowed the audience as he rose from the stage playing I predict a riot and other hits on the worlitzer.

Yes, humble pie was eaten in our house that night.

They are still known as the Caister Chefs in our house to this day.

Ooooh I like the Poofs!

Can't be asked to travel to a gig though - hence why getting a ticket for Weller at Cliffs was such a result. Actually I have 2 so I need to sell one.........

Yes I know - earlier on I mentioned going to Brighton to see the rest of The Jam - it was a pilgramidge (sp). I was offered a ticket for the final Brighton gig and Dad wouldn't let me go.....I believe I may have mentioned this before!
