Jules.
Here's some info on her http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornelia_Funke She came up when some one once asked about good childrens books on a thread, & quite a few Omleteers recommended her books. She has written a trilogy- Inheart, Inkspell & Inkdeath (which I have waited to be published!) She's described as the German JK Rowling. Scramble
Ooh! I love her! I have read the theif lord, and am currently reading Inkheart, don't tell me how it ends! I meant to but it ages ago, but my pocket money just keeps getting lower and lower, sooner and sooner these days!
Christian
I didn't think that Inkdeath was out until October I loved the other two books. Quite dark, but very good reading. *dashes off to Waterstones*
Egluntyne
I love the name Cornelia Funke. I'll have to ask Father Christmas for one of her books.

Jules.
Christian the book should have been out much earlier this year, but the death of the author's husband delayed the writing of the book quite understandably. I'm up to page 233 now! There's just been a shocking event happen...........say no more
Cinnamon
I have just found Inkheart on Green Metropolis, so I look forward to reading it very much. I didn't realise she wrote 'The Thief Lord' which I loved
