..lay a little egg for me
Tiggy, so sorry to hear of your troubles. Just wanted to remind you that your relative's brain chemistry will be all mixed up and the neurons inside it will be sending strange messages around, which her brain tries (and fails) to interpret, so the ideas about you have come from inside her brain alone and have no basis in reality at all. It is purely the disease process. As Paola has said, when she has been treated and her brain is functioning properly again, she will be mortified to find out what she said and did. cathybc
big hugs to you. I am sure that once she is better, if she does find out what you did, she will be grateful, even if she does not say so.
Lesley
Big Hugs to you Tiggy - you have done all that you can....and all for the best. Carl has a similar problem with one of his brothers and is the one who has to go with PCNs and police to have his brother admiited to care. It is so difficult but it is the only way they will become 'well' again.
Egluntyne
All the best. You have behaved so responsibly and caringly (is that a word?) by grasping the nettle and taking action. I'm sure she and her son will be very grateful to you when she is on the road to recovery.

Feel so sorry for you. Big virtual ((((hugs)))) and stuff.
Tiggy
I had a text from one of my sisters today, my relative seems to be feeling better, is taking her meds & eating & drinking again, MHT did not get to see her, she hasn't even been near a Dr yet Apparently her son will try to get an appointment with her GP today, she is still saying that I'm in trouble if I go near her so I'm keeping my distance, there are plenty of other family members who can take some responsibility for a change. Maybe this will be good for me in the long run, I have borne the brunt of her illness all my life & has been a drain both financially & emotionally, i have not minded at all but from now on the others can all do their share Edited September 29, 2008 by Guest

Ain't Nobody Here
You poor thing . How worrying and upsetting. She's probably taking it out on you precisely because you have been there for her all along. People take it out on those closest to them, as others have said. Try not to take it personally, although I know that's not easy.
