ScottishMike
I'm off to see the optician tomorrow, and one of the options I'm going to be discussing with them is these 'permanent' lenses you wear for 30 days, days and night, and then replace. I currently use hard gas permeable lenses. Anyone got any experience of these new 30 day lenses?? What did you think of them? Any down sides?? theherd123
Sorry cant help as i have 20/20 vision - the only good thing about me! My OH has the dailies and loves them to bits - have you also considered these?
Mrs Webmuppet
I have dailies too . No cleaning or anything. I couldn't wear lenses for 30 days without a break the lenses would be too gunky.
Egluntyne
Any down sides?? Yes....the price. My prescription was 2 1/2 times the price of my normal monthly torics.....and that included cleaning solutions and pots.
Cinnamon
My 15 year old daughter has used 30 day disposables for a couple of years now, & they have worked out brilliantly for her. Cheaper than daily disposables,if a 13 year old (as she was then) can get to grips with them, then anyone should be able to They don't get gunky at all, as you have 1 day off a week were they are left in solution all day & they also soak over night. ubereglu
I think you should at least do a trial before you make your mind up. Personally I wouldn't want to wear contact lenses as my glasses are a part of me-I've had to wear them since I was about 3 years old-I'm now almost 16. Also the idea of poking myself in the eye has never really appealed either!
Karen & co.
My 15 year old daughter has used 30 day disposables for a couple of years now, & they have worked out brilliantly for her.. If my daughter changes her mind and wants lenses instead of glasses then these sound like the ideal option Karen x
Seagazer
My OH has these and gets on alright with them although he doesn't tend to wear them all the time
kitbag
I wear 30 day lenses. One of the only downsides to them is that they can get quite dirty overnight in the solution. Its fine, it just means that you have to clean them every morning! I would reccomend them if you don't want to wear them every day. KimmyCustard
I wear the monthly lenses too, very comfy soft ones, (pay a large chain of optician, beginning and ending in 'S') £10 per month and new lenses are delivered every 3 months with a new pot and 3 bottles of solution. If I need any more saline, I pop into the shop and get another bottle for £7.00. Best friend had laser surgery and she went back another two times because she couldnt see properly out of one eye! Ew.
