jomaxsmith
I got mine at the end of October and had to wait a long time for eggs (they come into lay later when the days are shorter). Jo

AJuff
Today! NOW! I don't think I could have waited for the spring! I bought some in October and in January! Patience never was a strong point of mine.

Gallina
Spring is best, as you can get to know them better when there is more light and it isn't so cold. I just don't see much of my hens during the winter, and I am sure it must be harder to tame winter hens. But order them early, as everyone wants spring chicks. mrs chook
ANYTIME! Probably spring-pol then they get into egg laying routine before longer nights/shorter days of autumn? Just a hunch tho, I say ANYTIME!
