Egluntyne
Kate....you will be rather pleased with Him Indoors. He has been hanging onto a navy pinstriped suit that no longer fits him for years and has resisted all efforts by me to take it to the charity shop, stating it will fit one of the boys one day. Well, OS liked the look of it, even though it is a bit dated, and took it down to a suit hire/alteration type place. For £50 they have taken the jacket in a bit, shortened the sleeves and trousers, taken the waist band in and altered the lapels. He now has a perfectly good "interview" suit which is made of a good quality fabric and looks like a new suit. It originally cost about £35 over 30 years ago. Him Indoors is very pleased with himself. In fact.....I doubt I'll hear the last of it.

Mrs Frugal
Terrific !! I love make do and mend stories!! I've just made a pair of Ollie's jeans and an old pillowcase into a new handbag for me. Nothing like giving something old and still useful a new lease of life. Snowy
Brilliant! I love recycling things! When my Dad remarried a couple of years ago, No1 son wore his grandads old suit to the wedding! Very smart he looked as well
