Janty
I am reeeeaaaalllly sad now. It's official! My first henniversary is on 7th October and to mark the occasion I am making up a Jessops picture book of my girls. Just been out to the garden to take some photos to add to the book and accidentally took 142. http://www.jpics.co.uk/photobook.htm?typ=1 They are very photogenic. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Here are some photos of my girls. and finally, my poor splash cochin who is seriously moulting

Janty
I know In my defence, our son asked for 2 RIR miniatures for his birthday and when one of our hybrids died (hubby's favourite) he wanted to get some more of the same breed and who am I to say 'No' to hubby's request for chickens. The chickens have totally taken over now. They have even got the in-laws hooked and they have recently got some of their own.

Milly
I don't know why chickens are so addictive. We were at the Malvern show yesterday and they had a poultry tent with lots of different breeds on display. I was going round saying "I like that one.... and that one...." DH had to point out we had to stop somewhere. But I would really like a spotty one (any breed) and a pencilled or partridge one. Then I think I would stop..... Each feather is so beautifullt banded, I've never seen a chicken like her. She is Kylie my Gold Partridge brahma miniature. Very aptly named as it happens. When she lays an egg, she sort or trills a little tune. Very hard to describe but lovely to listen to.

Janty
Here are some more photos of Kylie She is very friendly. I think that Mrs. Beeton inspires her. Whenever Mrs. B jumps up for a snuggle and a scoff, Kylie joins her.

Janty
I have just completed the book. It was really nice getting all the photos sorted and looking through the hundreds that I seems to have taken throughout the year.
