Plum
Last year I made a host of book thongs for my team at work which was a quick and easy present. They went down really well. Any ideas for what I can do this year which is quick and doesnt cost much and they wont be totally disgusted to get. I mess about with beads and do patchwork and quilting. Bohochic
ooh so many things you could do with beads..... key, bag or mobile charms, wine glass charms, beaded egg cups , wine bottle charms (a nice touch for a wine or soft drink bottle), decorate a candle or votive, cushions with beads, beaded napkin holders, beaded bows for packaging.... just a few ideas
Plum
I like the idea of glass or wine bottle charms. Can use/buy interesting beads and shouldn't take too much effort to make. Thanks Off to google them.
redhotchick
Plum, I have a set of charms that clip onto a wine glass. Each charm is unique so that you can identify your glass easily. The clip is a wire circle bent round at each end. Instead of a charm you could add diferent coloured beads. A set of six would make a lovely present. I'll add a photo if you are interested and aren't already on with something.
Plum
Thanks Cathy, that would be great. Did you make them? In which case what gauge/type of wire was used? Thanks
redhotchick
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=64076&l=cd61f&id=730878707 I didn't make them. I got them in a sale You would need quite small round nose pliers to make the little loop. If I get a chance this week I'll go and look in the bead shop and see if they have any suitable wire and let you know what it is. If you buy them ready done how would you thread the beads on? They retail quite expensively! http://www.honeypotgifts.co.uk/party_charms.htm?source=adwords 14p for the hoops but I didn't check the postage http://www.thehandcraftedcardcompany.co.uk/craftsearch.asp?craftmaterial=Wine%20Glass%20Charms Hope that has given you some ideas.
