Guest
Snow in Huddersfield is forecast tomorrow afternoon. I think we're getting sleet here. It's definitely going to be very cold for the next few days - a shame really as this half-term is usually beautiful autumnal weather. You're making me homesick for my home town!! Is your daughter enjoying Uni there? I think she is really happy this year. She is in a house 10 mins walk from the dept which is so much better than the mental hospital! (Converted into Student accommodation). Last week she chatted with Patrick Stewart when the new Music Department was officially opened. http://www.hud.ac.uk/news/hudd-lines/news_stories/08_stories/10_duke_of_kent_visit.html I'm going to see her on Thursday. It's funny you say that...I was in the garden this afternoon and I turned to look up at the sky because the lighting was odd, and the smell, and I thought exactly the same thing...snow....all I need now is a wuthering wind and I'm moving into the cellar for the winter.... The Dogmother
Only heavy sleet here this afternoon My office has 3 windows and it's pretty chilly. The building has a preservation order on it, so we don't have double glazing

Guest
It's been an absolutely beautiful day here. We went to Devil's Dyke and walked for about two hours. The views were stunning! When we went in August it was so foggy that we couldn't even see our hands!
