I love your hens, they look very pretty-Mum still wants a brown hen. Hopefully as your hens are still in their first year they won't moult for you so you might actually get eggs over winter-I know we won't as there are feathers all over the garden.

What sort of eggs does the rare breed lay?

Hmmmm....if only he did lay eggs! He loves that run though, for unsavoury reasons, I fear I am loving the cube to pieces and am about to plant a virginia creeper over my shed behind it so the colours should look gorgeous. The chooks are very happy and use the perch a lot. Do you guys think it will be ok to introduce 2 more to that size of run in spring?
