clongmoor
We are looking to get a nice big run for our girls (hopefully we will have 4 after xmas - we have two now) and I have been looking online for places to get one from. All I can find is Aviaries4U which look gorgeous and I have seen a lot of positive feedback about on the forum. We live near Nottingham, does anyone know of any other suppliers just so I can compare prices before I take the plunge with A4U, thanks Claire Rosie and Priscilla

katieandnick
Go with Tony with A4U - PM me if you want to get a personal view on his work (our run's designed by him, and it's marvellous!). Not that I'm biased or owt...
CALNICK
we had our hen house, additional run from this company. They deliver it and errect for you and are very knowledgible about keeping chickens as they do themselves. http://www.woodenart.org.uk Check out there site calnick
speckled hen
Hi I have ordered a walk in run from A4U,it arrives around 14th November around the same time as my new I can't wait. Tony was very helpful and is making the run to allow the cube to sit on the outside of the run, im also having a sloping covered roof with guttering to allow for a water butt. Im hoping it lives up to my expectations, I felt very happy with the feedback on hear so should be ok. The only slight downside is the delivery charge, to get it upto North Yorkshire will cost around £90, but as I couldnt find anyone local I think it will be worth every penny xx Happy Shopping
clongmoor
Thanks for the replies - that's give me some more to think about! I think first thing is to get the old tape measure out and figure out how big a space we have for it. I like that some go up to 6'6 height as my husband is 6'8 and he is going to struggle in anything too low and that means me doing all the mucking out! Thanks again, Claire Rosie and Cilla
Louisdog
Another vote here for Flyte so Fancy - we needed a run in a hurry and went and collected it from Dorset the day after we phoned them, they were really helpful on the phone and in person, the run is great quality, also I think they would make one to measure if needed i.e. extra height etc. The only downside I found was I ended up spending a small fortune on extras in their shop, it was like an Aladdin's Cave of chicken-keeping treasure
SnowWhite
Definitely recommend Aviaries4U! Tony is incredibly helpful, the quality of his runs is first class and he can deliver nationwide. We're really impressed with ours, which was made to our specifications. I can't recommend Tony highly enough. Take a look at his website. http://www.aviaries4u.co.uk/

chickenanne
OOh, I'm a flightsofancy girl myself. Deliver everywhere and when they say they will etc. Really lovely to deal with - I got my postcode wrong on teh order (had jsut moved house) when I phones them to let them know and apologiese, they'd already changed it when they checked the address, and couldn't have been nicer about it. Sounds like both companies are great options though!
HasSumAmi
We got ours from Flyte So Fancy. They were brilliant. It was easy to put up and has been excellent. Make sure you get the no dig skirt though (or put it on slabs). Also the door needs a lock to be put on the inside to keep it closed when you are inside. And finally - the inside height is great, but you better ask if they can do a bigger door as it is quite low and you tend to forget about it and whack your head!! Given your husband's height, he may need this, or the chickens willbe hearing lots of curses!
Louisdog
Good point about the door - I forgot the other day and bang - by jingo it hurt! We have the no-dig skirt too - it seemed expensive on paper but looking at it, it's really substantial and well worth it IMHO.
