Plum
This has probably been asked before but can you overlap the cube run panels. I am tempted to change my order to a 3m run but there is not quite enough room as you'll see in the picture. The cube has to be running left to right between the slope and the compost bin (its longer that way). Any comments thanks
Olly
I can't see your picture, as I'm logging on at work and our system won't allow it ... but I don't see any reason why you couldn't overlap the run panels for the Cube, they are straight and not tapered so it should work. Egg Lou
Yes you can I've added three extensions and overlapped the last section by about 3" to shorten and also to strengthen the extra long long run .. works fine!
TAJ
Do remember the space you need for opening egg hole, getting the poo trays out and the door handle that comes out quite a way as well. Tracy
Plum
Thanks for comments, Im off today so will be down the end of the garden with tape measure and probably move compost bin for 4th time.
Seagazer
Ooh - I didn't think of that - I might be able to squeeze an extension in and overlap it as I haven't got room for a full extension. Thank you - off to find a tape measure
Egg Lou
If you want to see a photo of how it looks when overlapped.. go down the threads to one I posted called "Even more extensions" If you look to the left of the run, opposite the dust bath!, you can just about see where I have over lapped by 2 of the "rectangles".. Plum
Thanks I had a look its hardly noticable. I rang omlet to order one and they said you couldnt do it. So will wait and perhaps get one off ebay when they're here. I'll be overlaping about 14" but reckon thats enough to make run more interesting for the chickens. Did add netting to the order though . And found a bargain for £1.75 in a charity shop, its a cup rack I can use as a stool in the run while hengazing. No not the type with a pole in the middle. Its three wooden circles in layers, remember them. Also bought some soft-tie to experiment with fastening the drop down door. Bought straw, mixed grit, chocolate ....................... Seagazer
Just discussed this with my DD and she thinks there wouldn't be enough room to get past the trellis to the shed even if I halved it I'm just going to have to move once the credit crunch is over!! Plum
Well I've done it and now have a run and a half Took me hours. Learnt a few lessons how not to do things, but I'm pleased with the end result and it gives the chooks a bit more room when I'm out all day. The ungrateful things kept pecking my fingers as I was undoing those ***** clips. My poor fingers.

Jules.
Plum I'm just looking at your photo & I'm wondering that if you turned the whole thing through 90 degrees so that the cube is at the back & the run door is facing the way that the picture has been taken that you might be able to get the whole of the run length in? It might mean that some of the run is on the grass?
Plum
Cant move it the other way, its actually quite a bit shorter and the grass slopes quickly upwards, but I'm happy with the space I've got now I can put dustbath in and some perches. how do your girls cope with the super glug? mine dont like it at all and wont use it.I have to put the drinker from the eglu in for them. The bantams dont use it so thats ok,they prefer to find their own.Anyway ,have funwatching them, who needs tele eh/ They are fine with the super glug. They are a bit noisy with it, clang, clang, clang of beaks on metal but I worry they wont get enough water in summer when its hot. They spend ages at it now. I may put a traditional drinker in then. Better than tele.
