HENthusiastic
HI. I've just had a thought. I often find myself filling in various forms which ask me if I have "any special dietary requirements" I always leave it blank. But its just occured to me..... I don't eat battery eggs and try not to eat anything made with battery eggs. So surely this is as valid a choice as stating 'vegetarian' or 'vegan'. Imagine the impact if huge numbers of people started writing "No ingredients containing battery eggs" or "free range egg products only please". Now wouldn't that be something? (wasn't sure where to put this post; please feel free to move if theres a better place for it)
mostin
Excellent idea. I think I may try writing that on forms in the future, rather than just having to avoid things that "may" contain them.
Egluntyne
Excellent idea. I'll bear that in mind.
sandyhas3chucks
Had just been thinking the same thing. OH just had a flight and only chicken offered, he explained he couldn't eat it & wasn't offered anything else!
jill the potter
What a good idea! I too think it's just as much a valid point as being vegetarian People wouldn't dream of not offering a non-meat option these days would they?
sandyhas3chucks
I went to a 40th "gathering" last night where it was chicken saugages sausage rolls pork chop, with cheese & one beefbuger type thing. never thought I would long for crisps or french bread to fill the "other" gaps. Won't eat pork either now unless it is free range. As you say just as valid as veggie or Kosher!
