Of course I don't have a favourite I love them all the same! How could you suggest such a thing?

Yes I do. Her name is Mrs. Beeton and she is a gorgeous partridge pekin. She sits on my knee and creeps around me for food.

Thanks. She is such a character. I hasten to add that pinching the nuts and goji berries was not something that we encouraged. I caught her up there one day when I walked into the conservatory. It just happened to be an ideal photo opportunity.

This is my very special girl! love her to bits, Amber. She is soooo friendly and funny,a real character x

I think, my favourite is Muffin, one of the lavender pekins. She legs it up the garden path with her skirt tucked in her knickers. She makes a lovely squawking noise & taps on the back door to be let in for treats. I also love Spongebob my frizzle cockerel. He's a character!

Hubby's favourite is Peggy Sue our Amber star. She is always such a floosy with him & round his feet.

OK, I confess, I have two - Joy, who was the most bald and pathetic when she first arrived and is now the troublemaker and cheekiest chicken, and Daisy, my boss-hen who likes to sit on my knee for a cuddle and a chat, hen to human.

Has to be little Aggie. For ages she was the one without a comb, being bossed about by all the others and the last one to bed. Now she's part of the Egg Laying club, is fully accepted, is best friends with the boss chicken (to the extent that Boss Chook will pop her head round the door while Aggie is laying, just to check she's alright), and is ALWAYS the ringleader whenever any of them are up to some sort of mischief, the lttle minx!

I call her my cuddle chicken , as she always hangs about my ankles until she gets a cuddle whenever I am out with the girls.

 

My OH has also nominated her as chicken most likely to be stood on, as she follows us around so much .

 

We are also thinking of renting her out for DAZ adverts as she always stays clean

Ella because she prefers people to chickens and the others all pick on her and she has an ongoing battle with bumblefoot

Phoebe - half human, half chicken such a little character. OH makes his favoutism for Pheebs blatantly obvious though, which is a little cruel I think

It has to be Bo, our only egg layer! She is a beautiful Bluebelle - that wouldn't make the standard as she's got a little bit too much RIR showing through but we think that makes her all the more interesting!

Ouiser is my favorite....When she first arrived I thought she was just a bossy pants, but since she lost top spot to Truvy she has become more friendly. I don't even mind that she is always the last of the girls that lets me catch her at the end of free range time.
