Chook n Boo Mum
Been to see the little chap and his Mummy & Daddy of course. If that girl looked any healthier & generally wonderful I think I'd want to spit, she looked fabulous & not a s"Ooops, word censored!" of makeup either! Had lots of cuddles & took some piccies, will download them tomorrow as I'm shattered now, just wanted to update everyone! DS had a long cuddle with his nephew, despite the sign on the door saying that only the baby's siblings were allowed in - the nurses felt that Mum's siblings were ok too! I hope the team on duty tomorrow think the same if I take DD in to meet him (I did ask & they assured me there should be no problem)! She's only 9, so quite a bit younger than DS. I'd be very upset to have driven the 40min journey, only for the child to be turned away at the door! {and for all those teachers out there, yes I know it's Monday tomorrow, but she's been out all day today with the school choir - we've just got back from collecting her -, they've been told they can have until morning break to get up & come to school, it's her Daddy's birthday & as she missed out on meeting Quin I think we have sufficient good reasons to stay away. It so rarely happens that she has a day off without being a death's door - and that's rare too fortunately!! They are watching the Pre-prep Christmas show in the afternoon, so won't be missing any lessons as such!} Thank you for all the congratulations too, have decided I'm far too young to be Gran-anything, so I'm Nan-Sha! Chook n Boo Mum
Fizzy nose moment - I am very emotional the last few days! Congratulations! Lovely to have a new addition to the family. Fizzy nose moment - I like that description!!! Am hoping to go into town & buy the little chap an all-in-one, (once my small child has woken up! She was out all day & got back at 10.30 last night, so I'm letting her sleep!) provided I can get a parking space!! Sha x
The Dogmother
What brilliant news Sha, and what a lovely name he has. Kiss those little feet for me.
Chook n Boo Mum
What brilliant news Sha, and what a lovely name he has. Kiss those little feet for me. I discovered his feet today, his tiny toes are so amazing - and soooo long for such a tiny boy! We took his Auntie to meet him today - and she's besotted, hardly stopped grinning & cuddled him for most of the visit. Can't wait to see him again - his mum'll be fed up with me before he's a month old !! I just hope we are allowed to be a big part of his life - DH wasn't allowed to be a huge part of his own children's lives due to his ex's attitude towards him, would be awful to have that happen with the little one too. hillfamily
Congratulations Nan-Sha Hope you found a suitably cute outfit :D (and a parking space - not many people in Chi this morning when I popped in ) I love buying baby outfits
Fizzle Knit
Grandad is shellshocked & DD is not impressed at being an auntie (she is only 9 !!), probably the only one in the school!! Sha x Congratulations to you all! I became an auntie at 9 too, and loved it, especially no longer being the baby of thne family
Chook n Boo Mum
Found a space to park - mainly by being dropped off & DH being sent in search of one while I went into Whitby's & made passionate pleas to the men in there that the photos I needed printing on a one hour service (at lunchtime!!!!! ) were of our new grandchild who we were about to go to see again & wanted to take the pics with us for his mum...it worked & just over an hour later I was several pounds poorer, we had a set of photos and the child now has a wardrobe for the next few months including a snowsuit which will only fit him for a month, but it was such a bargain in Woolies I couldn't resist it! DSD was thrilled! This having grandchildren is expensive isn't it, combined with children it's doubly so.... DD was saying, "this is sweet Mummy" "oh Mummy look" "does Quin need one of these?" "shall we get one of these?" It's so nice to have a good excuse to buy lovely diddy bits again, and to be able to pass on gems of wisdom which just might stop her making the same mistakes I did...not drinking enough so dehydrating & developing mastitis so temp went sky high & losing at least a day with each baby...something to be warned about as it's awful to experience, I just hope she listened! The Dogmother
Awww, I just love all those tiny clothes; the socks are the best. My friends are all having babies at the moment, so I'm getting lots of cuddling done.. as well as changing poopy nappies like on Sunday. Give the little chap a big squish from me. Sha. Chook n Boo Mum
Not sure when we'll next get to see him, unfortunately his home is in the process of being rebuilt & as a result he's staying with his grandmother...and we don't exactly get on!! Will have to go & take my DSD out with the little man so we can get cuddles without the Wicked Witch standing over us!! Sha x
