Slight panic when I got home today, there was a letter from school (for me) saying which science exams I have been entered for. Seeing as I do triple science I should be doing all higher papers. Biology Higher - Chemistry Higher - Physics Foundation. Foundation! Seeing as last time I did a physics exam I got an A, why does my teacher now think I can only get high as a C? I panics etc. Quick phone call to a few friends (who are all doing triple) it seems that we have all been entered for foundation. Phew. Must be a mistake.

At some stage I am going to have to get my head around all the different exam options as DS is inyear 9 and has just started his triple science.

BTW, I just had a quick butchers at the French Forum site (have been trying to help aforementioned ES with his homework and thought it might be worth a visit!) and it is sadly bereft of contributors. Well done Fred for making an effort!!

Well done Fred and Kitbag!

I was always a bag of nerves in oral exams....so I really only had myself to blame when I studied languages at university!

In one exam I stated that a senior politician had been put down (like an animal at the vets) when I actually should have said he had stood down from his position.

I also (somehow) managed to get asked questions on the film Trainspotting in a Spanish oral exam....it was excrutiatingly painful as I couldn't find the right words and I started panicking...in the end I told the examiner I disliked the film and had stopped watching halfway through in a vain attempt to get them to change the subject. Didn't work
