Very sneeky fox

Recommended Posts

:wall: Hello all, I thought Id better warn about how quick and cunning foxes can really be in the urban situation. This morning I turned off the electric fence to feed the hens their porridge, went to the kitchen to top up the water and just turning round to go back to them I saw a fox in the enclosure killing my lovely goldline and scaring the other three so badly they froze! This attack took approx 1-2mins if that-he was watching and planning from the bushes im sure of that.

I am so angry about this attack but I am determined to carry on!

Please beware it can take only seconds :cry::cry:

I'm sorry to hear that - but it just prives how sly these creatures are!!!! It's almost as if he knew you had turned it off!!

My daughter says that she would have no problem in killing a fox given the chance...........and we are all veggie!! She is verging on being an agressive veggie to be honest - (she thinks chicken eating should be banned) = so the fact that she feels this way about foxes just goes to show what kind of anger these damn animals stir up!

She loves our chickens to bits and would do anything to protect them!

Is it possible to mix bantams with goldlines and black rocks??

Already planning new additions!! Oh does anyone know of a good breeder in oxford or near?

Thanks Emma :D:D

Really glad to hear your hens are fine and happy and living in the lap of luxury now! Sorry I don't know the Oxford area, but I'm sure somebody will be able to advise you. I think there is a list on this site of Omlet-approved breeders around the country

Cheers and good luck with the newbies!
