..... you wait 5 weeks for a big box of them you've ordered from Ebay, then two arrive together .

 

Moral dilemma now . Do I contact the Ebay seller & let him know? It was signed for so the courier will know both boxes were received.

 

I think I'll wait and see if he gets in touch with me. After all, he wasn't exactly fantastic at communication in the first place .

 

So, £50 worth of mealworms - do you think I'll have used them up by the time my girls reach a ripe old age? Do they go off ?

I think they have a shelf life, but I think it's a long one from what I can remember of the bag I bought the girls.

 

They have just had the ending of their bag I had mixed with their warm porridge, they told me it was delicious!

 

I would probably email the seller, it would bug me otherwise. But that is just me, you have to do whatever you feel comfortable with.

 

I think you need more chickens to help with disposal of said mealworms though..

I'd wait for him to contact you. After all you've waited ages for them, the least he can do is let you keep them both.

if he genuinely cared about customer care he should let you keep them for all the inconvenience you have been through.

 

I would e mail him (just for your concience)....but just dont be in a hurry to do it....let him stew for a bit.

Why don't you write him a note thanking him for the extra mealworms and suggest you assumed it was for the delay in comms/delivery and that it was a lovely festive gesture and you'll be using his services again and recommending him to all your friends?

 

He can hardly charge you for showering him in praise and goodwill, but you'll have raised the issue with him to ease your conscience?

You'll probably find that he won't ask you to send them back as he'll have to cover postage and packing etc. Doubt it would be worth the bother for him but I'd still let him know. He sounds so disorganised he's probably lost track of it all anyway !!

I wouldn't let the seller know - as he took so long to sort the problem I would leave him to contact you and look upon the additional mealworms as compensation for the all the trouble
