just had a giggle to myself. OH YS and myself are sat in the lounge, woodburner going well, christmas carols (Rutter) on CD player we are all chatting and each using our own laptops. Is this family life??

as long as you're speaking to each other via your laptops, I'd say it's family life

 

OH and I were chatting to each other on facebook and were challenged by a friend who wanted to know if we were chatting while in the same room

years ago OH and I used to post on the talkboards of a national newspaper. There was one crusty old 'gentleman' who was as nasty as nasty can be and was always starting rows. Anyway, this particular evening he came looking for me because OH and another poster were 'baiting' him and he wanted me to tell OH to stop it. Not wanting to get involved I said I couldn't possibly because OH was 'the other side of the office'... those on the talkboards who were personal friends of ours were in stitches because they knew that the office was our box room - all 7x9 feet of it

It's definitely the new family life isn't it? You could be describing the scenario in my lounge right this minute! (Except that OH is anti PC so he is watching football whilst son and I are on laptops )

I suggested a better way to get through may be by trading him in for a new improved model
