Having myself a chooky little Christmas!

Recommended Posts

OK, I know I have finally flipped, but I wanted to share my chooky tree, and hopefully there is someone on the forum who will appreciate it (unlike my family who just roll their eyes).

Lovely, Prim HenMum :D

I would have loved to have done something similar for our tree but having spent enough on the chooks this year (plus one of my girls is currently under a course of treatment at the vets), I don't think it would go down to well with my old scroodge of a hubby.

He has been very patient really so can't complain

Its mostly home made so didn't cost much. It IS a new tree which was £6 from B & Q. My daughter made the chicken 'party bags' and I knitted the egg cosies (which have kinder eggs and buttons in them for our young neighbours). The lights belonged to my Mother-in-Law and are at least 25 years old, the glittery red birds were £1.25 for 2 in the Wisley shop, the cut out stars were £5 for 10.... I could go on. SO YOU TOO COULD HAVE A TREE LIKE THIS! :eh::angel:

Still haven't quite sussed Photobucket tho......

Thanks all, for the appreciation....

Oh and the chicken on top is actually a money box that clucks when you put coins in - a birthday present from my sister in the summer! We made the halo out of pipe cleaners and a bit of tinsel. My neighbour says I have 'Calvinist' principles, which I guess is another way of saying 'Scrooge'!
