S'now chance!!!

Recommended Posts

The girls were NOT amused by the generous fallnig of white stuff we had during the night. When I opened the shed door, rather than knocking me over in the rush to escape, like they usually do, there was a traffic jam at the step

And finally Honey, the last of the moulters, finally decided to come out and see what the fuss was about.

My girls spent an hour this afternoon pecking the snow of the top of a tubtrug. Why they found this more delicious than the rest of the snow, I've no idea, but they were standing in a circle round it. It looked ever so comical.

Him Indoors was muttering about Act One, Scene One, from the Scottish Play.

Why can I never find my camera when there is a good photo opportunity? :?

love the top pic, your girls are very pretty. :D

We never get snow here. :(

Thank you :D Though I must apologise for the state of the coop, clean out day is on a wednesday. No idea why, just picked that day

And egluntine, I always seem to miss the photo ops too, only got those this morning as I went armed so to speak, as it was their first snow day :D

 Lovely pics! mine did the same - all stood muttering on the threshold! They did venture out in the end, and yes mine ate the snow - and the lumps of ice floating in their glug! In fact, at one point they were chasing each other round the garden trying to pinch bits of ice off each other :? Daft things

Mine stood in the shelter of the run and wouldn't venture outside - normally they are out straight away. I took a photo, but when I looked at it just now it's a bit too dark to see them (that's what comes of having to let them out at 7.30am).

It's very rare for us to get snow here so I don't know if there will be any more photo opportunities!

Mine are disgusted at all this cold white stuff!!! You usually have to stop them from escaping as soon as you open the run door - but they just stand inside looking really miffed!! Thye have had a peck at the snow and have taken a couple of steps in it and run back in side!!!

Incidentally - it's not the first time they have seen it - the day after I got them we woke up to snow and the run looked more like an Igloo - not an eglu!

Funny creatures!
