Hi ya, I'm just interested to know all of you that have cubes do you have large gardens or are there some of you like me that have postage stamp size? We thinking about upgrading to a cube, but I'm still a bit worried  We do have enough room to site the cube, we wouldn't get too many more chickens, maybe another 2 or 3, do you think it's worth all the hassle of intros and cost etc?

Sorry for all the questions, just wanted to ask you guys cause you been there done that, got the t-shirt. :D

suppose there's two ways of looking at it.

The good thing is you could get more hens :D but would you want to have more hens free ranging in your small garden?

The cube is much bigger in real life, I was quite shocked when it arrived, why not visit a cube owner near you just so you can get the picture of it in your garden? :D

We have a postage stamp and a Cube! Our garden is about 40ft wide x 35ft deep and it works fine for us. We have a 1metre ext with 5 chickens - we try and freerange (supervised only) most days, though this doesn't always happen.

I found it doesn't actually take up that much more space than the eglu - and I much prefer it. :D

Am considering whether to add another extension.

How big is your garden cluckbok?

I upgraded from eglu to cube last autumn and love my cube. Its so much easier to clean (no bending down) and I haven't had any problems with intros either. I have however, a walk in run which we built just before our cube arrived (there at the time was a 6 week wait so we did it then). If you are only going to have the cube run I think you might want to investigate the conversion kit for the front of the run so you can more easily get in to clean it particularly if you don't have a lot of garden space for manoeuvring. The one thing I would add to Moomin's comments is that its pretty heavy so not very easy to move around if you have run extentions too I gather.

Hi ya Poachedegg,

Your garden sounds quite a bit bigger than ours, especially if you have a cube and 3 eglus in it aswell! Not measured ours but yours sounds bigger. Not sure what we will do yet, still in the thinking stages  But thanks for advice.

I've become expert at utilising the space!! - We have a cube and only 2 eglus (one of the guinea ones is a chicken one and we are swapping it for a guinea one).

To measure gardens, I count the fence panels (usually 6ft wide) and multiply.

If you look at the products pages, you can compare the measurements of the eglu and cube.
