Old Speckled Hen
Does anybody else find John Torode and Gregg Wallace just YUK? Watching them taste food is just gross Bring back Lloyd Grossman
bluekarin
I don't find them yuk but I do agree with you about the food tasting bit. I also hate it when Rachel Allen does it. I prefer them to Lloyd, but I did quite like the old format as it did seem to be more about the cooking, and the contestents seemed to know more about cooking. laurmurf
ED and I ADORE Masterchef and never miss an episode, was over the moon when James won it last year and terribly excited to see Thomasina's new restaurant in a recent episode! I'm also so sad that I kinda fancy John Torode even though he clearly favours all the young pretties that go on the programme. Strangely it's Greg Wallace that has the racey private life (if one is to believe the gossip)... any way, back to the food

moochoo
I love Masterchef too, the best thing I find is how Gregg Wallaces voice goes 5 octaves lower when he eats a yummy pudding....tickles me every time

Lydia
Cooking DOESN'T GET TOUGHER THAN THIS ! We all join in when he shouts this! Us too Love the Shouty Men - they are so good for taking the mickey out of what with their stock phrases (John T always needs more "oomph" and things never "grab him", Gregg W goes on about "a big hug in a bowl" or "going to bed with that pud" ) and that fact that they cannot have a conversation even between the 2 of them at normal volume. Also, isn't it strange that if it's a choice between a man and a woman, the woman gets through 99% of the time. We have a name for that in this house which is not suitable to post on here
Seagazer
I always watch Masterchef but hate the titles where they shout. On last nights episode they shoveled so much food into their mouths it was quite gross I think I prefer this to the original series with Lloyd although I do love his curry sauces
chickenlass
Has anyone else noticed that at the end of the programme when they hadve to decide on who goes through to the next round ....they leave the viewer wondering and then it is always John T's choice that get through...... Olly
Well I was shouting at the TV yesterday, because it does seem as if they always pick the young pretty one even though her food isn't as good as the older woman's! I like watching the cooking, but can't bear seeing Gregg and John taste everything ... I usually record it and then fast-forward those bits, and the 'who shall we send home' bit is so obviously scripted as well. I do watch it, but find it quite annoying! Not true - they take it in turns. We can always predict who the winner will be depending on who is championing her or him. (Note to self - have clearly studied this programme far too much, must remember to go get a life)

Did they go to the same School of Presentation as BARRY SCOTT? Has anyone else noticed when they 'discuss' the dishes for the final outcome they are not in the same room?
