Just read on the Daily Mail website that Sainsbury's are to ban all battery eggs by Feb 5th. They aim to stop using caged eggs in their own brand products by 2012.

According to the article M&S and Co-op have also stopped selling battery eggs already.

All a move in the right direction

Great news think they could do it a bit quicker than 2012 though

 

Their "Taste the Difference" range already has free range egg in it. Its their basics you have to watch.

I tend to agree Poet. My son's girl friend went to Tesco late last night to buy party food for my grandson's party today, they were selling packets of 6 scotch eggs for 10p It really upset me, I am going to the party but I doubt I will eat anything.

Admittedly they were reduced because they will be out of date by tomorrow, but even so.....

 

The party was just as I expected a room full of hyperactive children and babies, screaming solidly for 2 hours, at least "Ooops, word censored!"ody was sick I had a cheese straw and a Jaffa Cake

If I remember rightly.....this country won't be able to produce eggs from caged hens.....but other countries will, and this country will not be prevented from importing them?
