Richard T
Of course you can! Thanks Martin. And by the way, our chickens are Rita and Mavis and their eglu is sometimes referred to as the Kabin. There's a Corrie link. Richard T

Richard T
'Fraid so. Funnily enough, they were going to be Dolly and Jean (after two characters from "dinnerladies"), and the same actress who played Mavis in Coronation Street played Dolly. Richard T
Nowt wrong with Coronation Street. Am a Mancunian so might be biased. T' wife's from Salford originally. We sometimes play Manchester I-spy (sometimes called Northern I-spy). Do you know it? Everything you spy with your little eye begins with "R". As in: "I spy with my little eye something beginning with "R"." Answers can be: "R kid." "R dad." "R mam." and so on. Richard T

bracken
As soon as i saw our girls i knew instantly what to call them. Marjorie,as in Marjorie Dawes (little Britain) as she is the the fattest and always scratchin around in the "dust" Bubbles,as in "Devere" cos she struts around fancying herself and has lacing over her wings. Then theres Emily,as in "Howard",because she is different to the others in colour and does "ladies things" Cant you tell we are little Britain fans? Egluntyne
Have aquired 4 more hens today. Don't know whether to call them after the Ya Ya Sisterhood (Teensie Necie Caro and Vivi)...you have to have read the books....or to go for my son's suggestion of Artemis Fowl, Atilla the Hen, Dixie Chick and Peckadilly. Suggestions gratefully received.

One Man Banned
not yet closest ones chippenham which is a far way away from swindon It could be done but it's a tad to far and I doubt my mum's willing to take me that far.But if I see one close I'll definately go for it. When I get my eglu I'll put my name on the visit list !!! We're not that far from Swindon, appx 40 mins just 5 mins from Jct 12 M5 On the list if you wanted to come round and see our "laydees" Our's were named after The Good Life so yet to get Tom and Barbara. Thankfully Sandy Thom entered the charts recently so think that another could be called Thom and another would be Barbara!
