WOW!!

 

Chickens only been here for 1 week and we had our first ever egg today! So excited when I saw that clever old Bon Bon didnt want to come out today and was sat in the nest box. About 45 minutes later she appeared and there it was!...........tiny but perfect it wieghed 53g and we had it fried on toast!!! (we fried it because we wanted to see what the yolk looked like!)

 

So Happy

 

Just have to wait for the others to work out what to do now Itb was the best egg I have ever tasted!

Congratulations! There is nothing quite like seeing your first egg sitting there! And I agree; they do taste yummy! Amazing you only had to wait a week. I think ours took a month

Yey! Congratulations! We had our first egg today too (chooks arrived on Thurs). They're 22 weeks though, so I hoped that we wouldn't have too long to wait. Our first egg is in DH's birthday cake ready for tomorrow. Hope you get another one (or more) tomorrow.
