What a strange day!

Ealier I had a phone call from Johannes at Omlet HQ asking if the BBC could come round and film my chickens :D

first thought was it was a prank by a friend  quickly followed by 'oh no I need to polish the dogs, paint the lawn and mop the children

Johannes then rang back to confirm all timings as a couple of friends called round, wondering why on earth I had turned scarlet and was gibbering down the phone :oops:

A few cups of tea later (to steady the nerves!!) the producer from the BBC rang, to apologise and say they didn't think there was enough time to film, but they may be able to do it another time!

Half of me is very relieved as we took an old apple tree down in the garden yesterday and have left rather a large pile of twigs etc. in the chicken run,

and the other half is nearly disappointed that my girls won't be seen.

Think I'll put the kettle on again :D

I met James and johannes at Tatton Park yesterday and Johannes said that the BBC wanted to film them making a delivery later this week in Cheshire for "The One Show" I presume they were going to try and fit in some filming of chickens that were already in situ what a shame they now can't film them, but keep an eye on the show because i am sure the Omlet delivery will be shown soon.............

Karen, it's great fun :D ! I did it a couple of years ago for our local BBC news programme just after my Eglu arrived and they were smashing. The cameraman and reporter looked after me wonderfully and I wasn't at all nervous by the time the camera started rolling. You'll have a great time! Saying that, I don't want to do it again :lol: ! Good luck if/when it happens!!

Well, I've just had another phone call from someone else at the BBC who thinks it may be still happening

will find out after 6.30 tonight, :?

I must go and move the apple tree logs incase the camera man falls over them

the garden is looking really tired at the mo, perhaps some paper roses on the plants

Well, after getting up at stupid o'clock

cleaned and polished anything that stood still long enough, with lots of help from the children :D

The BBC team didn't turn up :( I'm sure that OH thought it was a wind up from the start and when I say they didn't come I think his response will be :roll::roll: )

So my wonderful chickens and beautiful eglu's will remain - view by invitation only :?

Wouldn't you think someone would have rung to say it wasn't happening? after all I think I spoke to at least 4 different people from the show yesterday :?

the children have been so patient today and are now really disappointed :(

Hi :D apparently it's going out on Thursday  they eventually arrived about 6.30 and then left just about 9

My cheeks are aching from smiling like a loon  and I'm sure I sounded like a simpleton with some of the questions  even though I knew what to say in my head, when I opened my mouth the wrong words came out :?

I must admit I'm shattered too!

The other day she wouldn't leave the house until she had shaved her legs.

We were only going to tesco,& she had long jeans on anyhow.....

And I am in agreement with Helen about the avatar....just what you need to see to brighten up a rainy day
