Hi all i went out to check on the girls this morning only to find this

 

ok not quite a chicken of fate but he seems to like my girls

A friend of mine has just such a handsome gent visit her ladies regularly & the offspring were lovely.

They had a really friendly pheasant at the farm, it used to sit on the back of the quad bike while they were going aound the fields .

I would be interested to know. There is an interesting piece in recent New Scientist about evolution and horizontal gene transmission. Presumably this occurs through this kind of hybridisation. I wonder if such hybrids would be fertile or (like the mule) sterile .

He's just beautifull!, we used to have two peacocks that would visit our garden but they were relocated They were gorgeous!

I have to say after moving in this house and then seeing them in the garden for the first time was quite a shock
