I just had a brilliant idea!

A chookcam that came in eglu colours and would clip onto the run (like the glug and grub), also it would be wireless and run off batteries. It would be really easy to set up too (even jackiepoppies could set it up!), so anyone could watch their chickens whist they are away etc etc.

I saw one of these in the garden centre yesterday - but at £90 I think our blue tits will be nesting without voyeurs this year.

I currently use the Edimax IC-1500WG It has all the features you describe and is very cheap.

I looked at your one on Amazon, but it got diabolical reviews so I dismissed it.

Nope, it runs perfectly, I have never had a problem with it (touch wood). Edimax customer service are supposed to be very good too.

Fred please will you invent a device that is solar or battery powered that will let the chickens out of the Eglu. I feel this would be useful when I am on holiday so that my chicken minder wouldn't have to get up so early to let my chickens out. I know it would be mechanically complicated with the "lift up and twist" action required, surely not impossible though?
