I have 2 old Singers which I use in preference to my modern Jones which is a "bleep"! One belonged to my Grandma and was converted to run on electricity after the war and the other is a treadle machine which I've just mastered . It folds away into a table and I love it. These old machines are as smooth as silk to run and are a joy to use. They may not do fancy stitches but they are just so nice to work on.
