I found the Money Savings Expert website was fantastic too. The forum users on the debtwannabe part were so genuinely helpful to me when I was going through a rough time 12 months or so back. Have, in the past two days, had letters from three utilities threatening court action as it now transpires that despite saying he was still paying the bills, he hasn't been. I've managed to avoid the court action obviously by making arrangements to pay in installments but having rung the ex to say that I'd had the letters he now informs me that he has no work. this sounds horribly familiar, a relative of mine found herself in the same situation, ex had spent all his money and told her he had paid the bills he then did a bunk one day and she found a box full of unpaid bills and court orders, thankfully the court was very understanding and a warrent was issued to bring him to court. A payment plan was drawn up with help from the legal aid solicitor, she is still paying this off 5 years later but was liable for half, goodness knows what he is doing.
