I think, if it were me, that I would take the flipping creature that's causing all this trouble to a rescue centre away from you and just say you find him somewhere other than where he is from. Hopefully they could rehome him quite easily. I know that's deceitful and is obviously going to cause some upset to his owner, but for goodness sake how much more heartache are you and the cats going to have to go through. It's not on. So I think we just have to accept it was Evie and try and find some other way to remember her. I know that in one sense it was just her body and not her, but I would have liked to be able to see her one last time. The last time I saw her was Friday morning as she was sleeping on a chair by my bed and I didn't stroke her. So I would have liked to stroke her again and have her cremated.
