I'm so very sorry to read your news I don't know how you are coping because I don't think I would be. I think, if it were me, that I would take the flipping creature that's causing all this trouble to a rescue centre away from you and just say you find him somewhere other than where he is from. Hopefully they could rehome him quite easily.

 

I know that's deceitful and is obviously going to cause some upset to his owner, but for goodness sake how much more heartache are you and the cats going to have to go through. It's not on.

Thanks for your kind words. Had a very frustrating morning trying to find out what they might have done with her, as obviously "Ooops, word censored!"ody keeps any records in Hackney, or has heard of microchips. Am considering setting street sweeper on fire tomorrow.

Oh Aunty E, only just read this - so sorry to hear that. How awful for you. I do hope you can find out what happened to her. It's devastating when something like this happens.

No luck at all with the council and the sweeper is now hiding when he sees me. So I think we just have to accept it was Evie and try and find some other way to remember her. I know that in one sense it was just her body and not her, but I would have liked to be able to see her one last time. The last time I saw her was Friday morning as she was sleeping on a chair by my bed and I didn't stroke her. So I would have liked to stroke her again and have her cremated.

 

Everyone is claiming ignorance though, so I wonder if maybe the street sweeper did just dump her in a bin. It wouldn't amaze me.
