Ain't Nobody Here
Mr Mostin, I've got a bone to pick with you . Since you introduced us to Google Sketch, I've been spending even longer on my laptop than usual, making a sketch of my garden with its new walk in run . It's not ready for public viewing yet, I have a few tweaks in mind . You might have warned me it's totally addictive .
Cooks
It does produce great sketches though, when you post if we will be like oooooooh!, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! wow! how much tweaking before we get to see??
Ain't Nobody Here
I'm nearly there but got carried away trying to put plants in my borders . They look a bit rubbish so I'm planning to dig them up (in the sketch not in real life ). Not very happy with my eglu though, it's a difficult shape . (Mr Mostin's cube is brilliant - I wish you owned an eglu ) At work today, I'll get to it after that .
shaunw
ANH you will love me now then. have another search on google sketch up for omlet items to download as i have also designed an eglu on there too. if you need it in different colours let me know i can upload easily. and yes you are right its incredibly addictive....sorry I have spent hours mapping out our garden on it...... Word of advice to anyone else considering it....dont its too addictive. or maybe we (me and ANH) are a little sad. this is what i have done on mine so far. and here is the eglu i drew in hot pink (other colours on there too) not quite got the run on it yet.... oh and whilst i am showing eglu products here is a cube i did with a run i know i know too much time on my hands....but in my defence when my wife is sat in the same room "playing" on the omlet forum all night what else am i to do????? HENthusiastic
Well it might only be two weeks and not 3 you have to wait Hen. We come back down from Edinburgh on the Mon and OH says we might as well drop the eglu off at your house on the way back rather than waiting til the next weekend. If neither of you will be in we can leave it round the back. Let me know what you think. You could get your girlies even earlier then Ooooooooohhhhhh yesssssssssssssss! We are off work that day Thank you so much. Both of your halo's are glowing Mostin: Mr Mostin: HI Mr Mostin: You've made quite a hit on here already haven't you!?!? Thanks everybody for your overwhelming enthusiasm about our new eglu ownership . It didn't stop me being wide awake in the middle of the night thinking WHY have we just spent all that money on introduction housing???? I was thinking about putting it straight back on ebay"! Now I'm thinking, well, a little extravagent, BUT, our current introduction housing is handmade/adapted and not very secure and will probably not last that long (even in storage in the damp garage). At least now I will have this accomodation long term. And I do plan to have chickens for EVER, so will be doing lots of introductions. It will only be for intros though because its not big enough for all the girls. Do you think it will store okay in a damp/wet garage? Right; I have another important decision to make re who to put in the new eglu, but I shall do that in chickens thread! I didn't know I had to name it??? Kermit, not bad, but it doesn't quite hit the spot! edited to add: cool piccis Mr Mostin

Cooks
come on the Claret, name yours!
The Dogmother
None of mine have ever been named, which is odd because I often name inanimate objects. No name springs to mind with my cube, or the eglu I'm afraid.

The Dogmother
get Rosie to work on it for you... You know what children are like.... it'll end up with a name like 'Spotty' or 'Fluff'. that's how I ended up with a chicken called Dizzy
Cooks
I think Fluff would be a cool name for the pink eglu.... or Floss (as in candy floss) and... I love the name Dizzy!..
The Dogmother
I have the pink rablu under sufferance as I hate the colour (sorry) it was going exceptionally cheaply 2nd hand on the forum and I just happeed to be in a position to get it. The bunnies love it in the summer. The orange eglu is my favourite I hate the design and look of the cube and said so when we first saw the prototype (I said that it looked like the back end of a Reliant Robin!) It is just so practical though.
Cooks
yes I agree I love the eglu more in look (sorry Norman!!) but the cube helps me so much with my back already!
Ain't Nobody Here
Here's my first Google Sketch attempt . (Thanks for the eglu, Mr Mostin - I had my rudimentary one inside the run already so have just left it there!)

Ain't Nobody Here
Thank you . Might just add it to the "planning new WIRs" thread too. After the initial flurry, it looks like a lot of us are just waiting for the next step!
mostin
It will only be for intros though because its not big enough for all the girls. Do you think it will store okay in a damp/wet garage? edited to add: cool piccis Mr Mostin I am sure it will store perfectly fine in a damp garage. That's the beauty of eglu's, you can blast them clean with a pressure washer if they've been left for a while. Please stop encouraging my OH in his computer pictures thing . I'm very proud of all the effort he's putting in to planning the run but when he's creeping in to bed at 3 in the morning because he's so addicted to this google sketch thingy then he needs to stop planning and start building . Yes, I hope you're reading this Mr Mostin xxxx
