fluffyknickers
I have three chickens, none of which are ex-batts. The reason for this is I am a total complete novice who knows very little apart from what I read on here and what I learn every day keeping my Omlet chickens. I didnt feel confident enough to adopt ex-batts as my first go at keeping them. However this doesnt mean that in the future i wouldnt consider giving a loving home to exbatts as its something that I would be happy to do and that they deserve. It upsets me terribly to see the conditions they live under and how they are treated. However this doesnt mean I do not support the cause in my own way that I am happy with - I never buy battery eggs and tell everyone to buy free range and now have my three girls and when they start laying would love to offer these eggs to people and tell them about BHWT and donate money from the sale to them. In an ideal world I would live in a house with lots of land and would adopt and keep lots of exbatts and care for them til the end of their days - i dont though and leave in a three bedroomed terrace with a little garden! I do not want to join any revolution but at the moment will do what I can in my own way - and this is up to each person to decide what they would like to do to support BHWT and other organisations.
