Do you think this is mild scaley leg mite or just old age? Katy my beautiful clever has had raised leg scales for a very long time and has not laid eggs for about a year. She's about 3 . I've taken some photos. I was wondering whether to treat her as if she had it just in case I've studied the photographs on the omlet site. I should point out she has mud, aubiose and layers mash on her feet and doesn't have hideous discharge! It's the bits where the toes join the leg.

edit - middle picture on top of the toe looks very slightly raised, but it could be the angle?

Top one looks OK, you can see it in other 2 pictures. It is at that point you mention and the bit above it. It feels rough.

It doesn't look particularly bed, but you could treat her for it just for peace of mind.

I've not seen any but then they have a muddy chicken pen and have quite dirty feet. She's hard to pick up and examine. I tend to peer at them while she is stood still eating.

Try it about this time when thay are all asleep and won't kick up a fuss .
