ClaireG
We were going to home a dog that belongs to one of my DH's collegues who is moving abroad. He was a lovely dog but unfortunatly didn't like our 8 yr old lab Adam, my son, was telling one of his friends at school about this on Monday. Anyway, yesterday morning the Mum came over to me in the playground to say that a friend of hers had a golden retriever x border collie male pup of 7 months she was looking for a new home for as her 5 yr old won't leave the puppy alone and has been diagnosied as having ADHD. She is finding it very hard coping with him and a pup. She passed my number on and today Benson, my black lab and i went to meet Archie the pup. We met on netural ground and Benson had great fun playing with him and then a 12 week old lab "Ooops, word censored!" joined in as well Archie is coming here with his present owner on Friday to see how Benson is with him on his territory and all being well Archie will be joining us. I'm planning on signing up for classes and am thinking when he's a bit older of doing agility as well to keep him occupied. Gamebird
Sorry to hear it didn't turn out with the choccy and your dog. However, as they say one door closes and another one opens. Fingers crossed that Benson and Archie get on together when next they meet.
BeckyBoo
Oh good luck, I really hope they get on, how exciting. Must be hard for her giving him up but puppies are hard work never mind with a littlie with ADHD as well. Will be thinking of you, hope it goes well BeckyBoo

ClaireG
Adam and I were in the pet shop looking at crates etc when my phone went. The lady has decided she doesn't want to rehome her dog with one that hasn't been castrated as she thinks there will be terratorial issues . Back to the drawing board.
