Leaking cubes - do omlet replace them ?

Recommended Posts

I'm contemplating buying a cube but everytime I get close I read that cubes are still leaking. Obviously not all but it seems to be a persistent problem.

So what do Omlet do when it's reported ? I'd be interested to understand how it';s dealt with.

Personally if I got a leaky cube I would want it replaced immediately since reading the posts I get the impression faffing about with suggestions don't seem to solve the problem in the majority of cases.

I don't quite understand why others don't go straight for the replacement option ? (Given you have the right to reject goods if they aren't fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/detail?type=RESOURCES&itemId=1073792602 )

Am I missing something that would stop me being able to get a leaky cube replaced ?

HI

Unless i eat my words when my cube (cube green) arrives April this question along those lines was asked by myself and many others as we all agree its a lot of money to be spending. Plus start reading this forum some of the posts makes u hesitant :!:

I have decided to get Omlet to build mine for me when it is delivered as i am in the delivery area(so at least if there is any issues it will be hopefully spotted)

Got to say its 30 days for a full refund(they state that on the website) Plus most folks seem to get replacement parts with no quibbles(well that the impression)Also if parts have been missing with orders they do get them immediately sent out.

A couple of respondants have said that we tend to hear more about the bad press than the good press

I sincerely hope I wont be eating my words here...but do understand ur concerns as i had them too.

Just keep reading or ring omlet to check it out. Its a shame we dont know how many they sell a year so we know the real proportion of complaints v all the successful ones(in an ideal world)

you would never buy anything if u thought it was all bad and most people seem to enjoy the product and rave about it......this forum is testament to that

good luck

I've recently had my (cube green) and *touch wood* it's fine and I love it, it helps me so much and the girls love their little seperate sleeping quarters :lol: I actually could do with a nest box on both sides so each pair of girls gets their own sleeping area :lol::lol::lol::wink:

My (cube purple) Rocks! Not literally, obviously as that would be bad  But its so 8)

I had mind delivered and built by George from Omlet, and he did a sterling job. No leaks or issues from me regarding mine.

I gave mine a power wash today and its SO easy to clean, the eglus are easy being plastic but sweeping out etc on the Cube is so much more comfortable because of the height, the doors, roof, roosting bars, nest divider etc all just come off and makes power washing it a doddle.

Go on. Get a (cube purple) , or a (cube blue) , or a (cube red) or a, well you get the idea

I have a serious issue though, I want a second cube, I want a (cube blue) this time. But, its going to have to wait till we move to a more country-fied location. My neighbours are terrific, and I dont want to push my luck with them.

Patience is a virture, sadly I am not feeling virtous

My (cube green) is fine too and has been through the snow other weeks and hail yesterday

Good point - a good time to have bought a new cube would have been winter when it could have a good test :)

Humm what to do, I love my eglu and plan to keep that (although I'll probably sell the run when OH has built my walk-in run (or I give up and build it myself  ) do I go for a second eglu or a cube ?

I found that one of the mystery insurance payments I was making that I kept meaning to check up on  was redundancy protection  I thought I'd cancelled that a couple of years ago so much less stressed about not spending anything in case I'm out of work for a few months :D
