quickcluck
MY OH is away for a few days now, so any tips? Does it have to be twice a day or can you double up and give it once? Thanks K
theherd123
Its best to give as per prescribed by your vet. Get a towel and wrap your chook up in it and tuck it under left arm, use left hand to open beak and use right hand to gently squirt meds into mouth. (Reverse arms if you are left handed!) quickcluck
Thanks, will bravely give it a go in the morning.... I thought I was doing quite well as i'm new to chook keeping, until there's a hiccup All of a sudden you feel very inadequate
sandyhas3chucks
you will get used to it. if you don't get on with that way you can kneel with her between your legs but i prefer the 1st way
feemcg
The 1st time I had to give it I injected the Baytril into grapes and gave each chook their dose, 2nd time I did the wrapping in towel and skooshing down their beaks.
Egluntyne
I have given it in cubes of bread before now. A bit hit and miss though. The wrap in towel and prize beak open method is probably better.
