Old Speckled Hen
My theatrical daughter loves this. She has a party every week just to watch it. I've always had a sneaking suspicion that far from being spontaneous this show is very cleverly scripted; all of it!!!! So it's unreal reality Perhaps I'm too cynical ... comes with age. AND as for Alan Sugar ....I had shares in Amstrad

Old Speckled Hen
Argggghhh can't watch him. Regarding the law passed in the 1970s in the UK which states that it is illegal for women to be asked at interview whether they plan to have children (on the grounds that it is discriminatory), Sugar is quoted as saying, "You're not allowed to ask, so it's easy, just don't employ them" Nasty man

Ziggy
okie, quite new to this and very, very stubborn about my ways about things, and to be fair i'd never enter these things cause I wouldn't give a damn.... but.... why is it "Ooops, word censored!"ody seems to know how to clean anything??? I have four kids and can clean a car in 30 mins solid, 40 mins at the push if outside is to be perfect... what worries me is that those 'professional people' don't do a market search (hey, £100 per car???) and leave mess and polish traces and what not and expect to be congratulated?? Get your hands dirty means get perfect results, not expect gratitude from customers?? Another thing that bugs me, is the women's team's ability for begging, flirting and waterworks... hey, it's business... i don't care if it brings money, but flirty begging is appalling, and turning sad puppy face in the board room is just OFF! I do not like the fact that someone thinks that putting themselves up as team leader on first task will win them brownie points, if they fail and turn puppy tearful eyes... taking responsibility is not good, if you can't follow on and organise firmly, especially on first task... Don't get me wrong, I admire those people for setting themselves up to it, I woulnd't, cause I wouldn't care and would challenge all authorities (and would clean cars much more efficiently, but then wouldn't sell anything cause I'd be all hands on and no care for profit... so no personal judgement)... but I like leadership to be efficient... in this programme, it looked like no one knew how to organise anything, or how to clean a car... I'm not usually so harsh, sometimes I find the teams do quite well.... but this time I wasn't impressed by anyone at all... all looked like learners on a first day... which I guess they are, so again no harsh judgement... good luck to them....
