Well can I share this with you all? We had our 1st ever double yolk today and we were very excited! hope it is the 1st of many (actually we made pancakes for breakfast with it!) just thought some of you would be interested!

Hi, we had our first double yoker yesterday too! My husband had it in his full English this morning. It weighed 87g!!

Double yolkers are so special aren't they.... like an extra present when you crack them open and find the extra yolk

One of my girls laid quite a few when she first came into lay, but I think that was her system settling down and working out what to do because we've not had one for ages now.

One of ours lays double yolkers every so often. You can tell by just looking at them that they are going to be double yolkers by the size

Hi, I've had 2 doubles in the last couple of weeks and was really excited but when I told the chap across the street he said it wasn't a good thing and on his father's farm they got rid of the chickens that laid them as it was a sign of ill-health! Anyone know if this is true?

we had a very small double yolker just before we went away - the second yolk was about the size of a 20p coin.

Our chickens laid most double-yolks in the first few months they were laying. I don't think we've had any doubles for over 6 months now....
