Just a few piccys now the girls have settled in...

they all seem very happy taking themselves to bed each night at 7.20 exactly (even on the first night!) they just LOVE corn and cucumber!

 

Elsy the columbine - she is the most nervous but starting to take food from my hand, she is also very quiet at the moment and tends to chirp like a chick rather than cluck! it is very sweet to hear! she is approx 21 weeks old but no sign of eggs yet

 

Doris the brown chicken - she is first to come for food and attention and generally last to bed!

 

Daisy wasn't ready for her close up - she is the bravest, steeling food from her friends and pushing them around... no major disagreements yet though!

Lovely close-ups.......21 weeks??.....Elsy looks younger than that to me, as does Doris....think it'll be a wee while yet before they're laying.....love the bum shot too

I think Elsy is a lot younger too! going from my skyline who was 18 weeks when I got her..

I thought she didn't seem very well developed for what I was told was her rough age!

she is more developed than the other two who are both now 18 weeks... oh well fingers crossed we get eggs one day

if it's any consolation my Flo's comb and wattles developed almost over night at one point and it wasn't long before we had eggs after that. It wont be that long.

 

you might even get or unlike my dear lady who wanted to give me tsk tsk tsk lololol

I love the little white bottom! My OH thinks I am some kind of chook pervert! This morning as we stood outside with the girls while we drank our coffee i said "isn`t Snowballs bum just so......ooooooohhh....so gorgeous!" He looked quite alarmed

 

They do look fairly young but you will have eggs soon I am sure!! I am still amazed and so excited when I open the pop hole and there is a lovely waiting for me!
