bonesjones
We have our chickens! We could not wait for the near two month delivery date so opted to fetch the chickens and eglu ourselves. We are now the proud parents of Chilli and Pepper. Pepper is dominant. She is trying to stop Chilli get her food. Chilli is a Gingernut ranger (07.04.09) Pepper is a Miss Pepperpot. (07.04.09) Our dog Charlie is a springer spaniel and is fascinated by them...as is Katie the cat!

Hen Watch
Hello to your new arrivals Chilli and Pepper. There will be a bit of a power struggle at first as they sort out the pecking order. My bottom chook (out of 4) is reminded that she is bottom chook every other day by being chased away from the treat bowl. So it is normal. But I get round it by putting 3 treat bowls out on the grass then they can't "man" them all. Glad to hear it is going well so far.

Patricia W
My cocker spaniel is convinced that the eglu is a chicken- producing machine. She sits watching them all come out and then still sits there - expecting more!! She then runs round the back to see if they have come out that way.... Bless...
