Looney
I use garlic powder that is also used for horses. I think they sell it in the omlet shop if you want to have a look....
Barkisland
Horsey garlic powder from the feed merchant will be much cheaper than using up your Shwartz Oh, and it doesn't make the poo smell nice exactly, but it is reputed to make it smell less! Hen Watch
Err..... not nice smelling ..... but much better. I use Garlic Powder too which I buy from horse supply shops (look up Tack Shops in the yellow pages). Many brands out there. Baileys, NAF etc. http://www.baileyshorsefeeds.co.uk/whatproduct/supplements/garlic.htm
Hangman
Can somebody explain the reason for wanting odorless "poo"? I don't quite get it
Egluntyne
It stops the neighbours complaining and keeps the flies away. Also full of useful vitamins, minerals and trace elements, and even better still, rats are not supposed to care for the taste.
southernchicken
thanks , the rat deterrent part sounds good
4Clucks-minusOne
This may be a dumb qustion but does it make the eggs taste of garlic too? I thought strong tasting foods were not recommended.
ted
I have heard that it can affect the egg taste but only with a lot of powder added. Probably more than is needed...
Henhathnofury
Bokashi bran is good too. It firms up the poo and I swear that a nice firm poo smells less than a sticky watery one. I have gone right off my easter eggs now....
