seraphine
Sooooo excited here! A bit miffed that it won't be delivered until end of May, but gives us plenty of time to prepare I guess and we're complete novices so I think we'll need the prep time! Looking forward to chatting chickens with you and learning lots!
Jennyhenny
Congratulations on your order My goodness end of May seems along time, I had to wait two and a half weeks and thought was long enough - are they very busy then. Which chickens did you order? Jennyhenny
seraphine
I know! The lady at Omlet said it's their busiest time of year as everyone sorts their gardens out and decides to get chickens, wish I'd ordered a few weeks ago now, I'm not known for my patience! We've gone for 2 Golden Rangers and 1 Miss Pepperpot. Would you say that's a good choice given we have two young children?

jomaxsmith
Hello! I'm assuming you're Princess? My forum name here is similar to mine on that forum! If you're not, you'll wonder what on earth I'm on about Jo
seraphine
Hi Jo, it is indeed me! I fancied a different user name for over here!
flowerangelk8x
hi, just to say welcome.... this forum is fantastic for any worries or questions you might have along the way. i'm quite new at this game and have found all on the forum really friendly and their advice sooooooo helpful along the way. we have had our 2 chickens from omlet since 25th feb this year. we have never looked back. they are such fun to watch, really entertaining! we have spent loads more time out in the garden with them already , real time wasters ..... but in a nice way i hope you have as much enjoyment with your chickens as we have with ours. have you thought of names yet? *mummy_hen*
You will get stupidly excited as the day gets nearer and probably have a few sleepless nights. Lots of time to buy lots of lovely chicken things for when they arrive!!
seraphine
Thanks all! I'm really keen to start shopping (ever the shopaholic!) but don't know what to buy! NEVER does this happen to me Namewise - my eldest daughter has chosen 'Annie' for one of the chooks, as she's crazy on the musical, I quite fancy Henrietta, but I guess that's a bit predictable! And for the third one, no idea yet!
Ain't Nobody Here
And for the third one, no idea yet! Bet you never thought there'd be a Chicken Names "book" - well, it is as important as choosing your children's names, after all .
3hens2cats
Hello and welcome to a very helpful and friendly board wow, that is a wait, we had ours delivered in two weeks, but as you say Spring has sprung! That will come round in no time. We have three kids (hence why 3 chickens) and the gingernut rangers are very friendly, the one who we thought was the most shy (Meg) is a champion sprinter and will run and jump on your lap at the sight of brocauli. They are a delight to have, the eglu is a doddle to clean and maintain. Wishing you many happy days of being a chicken mama Look forward to hearing of their arrival. naomi
